The Dunedin Swing Festival always has a full schedule of social dancing and workshops to attend in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Blues and Solo Jazz. If you can’t make it to the full festival then we have options for individual events and (where possible) workshops too.
Planning your trip?
This year we are following on from the fun of last year's extended festival by starting on the Thursday night with a social dance and some fun events on the Friday. Plus, make sure you are still around on Monday morning as we run classes on that morning also, with a casual 'Goodbye' dance and lunch after that. All workshops are located in North East Valley and all evening events are in the Dunedin City Centre.

All attendees at a Swing Riot Dunedin event must adhere to our code of conduct. By purchasing a ticket you are agreeing to these terms.

Full Weekend pass:
EARLY BIRD FULL PASS: $270
There are a limited number of Early Bird ticket this year. Early Birds will be open on April 4th and be accessible for 2 weeks only.

FULL PASS: Unwaged $290 / Waged $310
SOCIAL PASS: $125 (Social events only)
NB: We are a small city and our classroom sizes are limited, and as so we want to make sure that everyone learning in these spaces has enough room to do so. This means that our festival has a limited amount of full passes/classroom spaces we can provide.
Single events:
THURSDAY EVENING: $25 + bf
FRIDAY EVENING: $40 + bf
SATURDAY EVENING: $50 + bf (Includes entry to late-night afterparty)
SUNDAY EVENING: $40 + bf (Includes entry to late-night afterparty)
SINGLE WORKSHOP*: $25 (cash on the door)
*NB: We are a small city and our classroom sizes are limited, and as so we want to make sure that everyone learning in these spaces has enough room to do so. This means that our festival has a limited amount of full passes/classroom spaces we can provide. We sometimes have availability for people to pay for single workshops but that depends on whether we reach capacity during full pass sales.
Cancellation Policy
Swing Riot cancels the event?
If we are forced to cancel the event for any reason then you will be entitled to a full refund.
You can’t come anymore?
If you have registered, paid and need to cancel your registration for any reason – then please contact us and we’ll discuss refund options on a case-by-case basis.
Photography and Videography at Dunedin Swing Festival
Photography and videography will be being taken at all Dunedin Swing Festival events and workshops. These images/videos are owned by Swing Riot Dunedin Inc, and may be used for promotion. This includes use on social media platforms.
